Winnipeg Lanterns for Peace is held annually to mark the 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. This year’s observance was sponsored by the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba, Mennonite Central Committee (Manitoba), Peace Alliance Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.
