Thanks for your comments and questions. Bejing: Conscience Canada looks at the questions of legal liability. It does appear that a conscientious objector should expect some difficulties. Gene: Where does one stop? I imagine there are as many answers to this as there are activists.

I came across this book the other day. I haven't read it yet, but this I found interesting: “Readers will come away from this book with a richer understanding of the noninterventionist movements in U.S. history [...] Most important, perhaps, they will have a firmer understanding of why many classical liberals embrace the strengthening of commercial ties between all countries as a means of avoiding war.” On another note, I've watched the video you posted and although I understand the reasons for withholding taxes in this particular case, I do have some reservations regarding such a course of action. My question would be where does one stop? ---------- Because I can!

Impressive post Paul. That last video clip is excellent.

Has the government ever gone after anyone who contributed a portion of their taxes to the Peace Fund (Conscience Canada)? I looked into it before but was a bit nervous since I was already audited once.
